We spoke to Seb to get to know him better and find out more about his dance career so far! You can also check out our MOVE IT socials to see even more from our Faces of MOVE IT 2024!

What style of dance do you specialise in?

My initial style was Hip Hop but since I joined NYDC, I have a passion for Contemporary which has instigated a journey of finding my own quality of movement.

How did you get into dancing/ where did you train?

I’ve grown up in a dance family and my inspiration has come from my parents who own their own dance company: Streetz Ahead and my brother is a professional contemporary dancer. I grew up with Streetz Ahead and then joined Zoonation Youth Company, Matilda the Musical, National Youth Dance Company, Centre for Advanced Training and The BRIT School.

Who inspires you in the dance industry?

Zakarius my eldest brother is my biggest inspiration. I have learnt so much from him but his humble professional approach and work ethic has made the biggest impact on my growth as an artist.

Describe yourself in three words.

Passionate, Energetic, Driven,

What are you most looking forward to in the next five years?

I am looking forward to training at London Contemporary Dance School and how I can immerse myself in the opportunities in dance.

If you could travel back in time, what advice would you give to your younger self?

STRETCH MORE! Don’t worry about the bullies, they are not your people.

What are you most excited about at MOVE IT 2024?

Being the face of MOVE IT is a chance of a life time. I am excited about performing my own work at such a young age and sharing the stage with dancers I have grown up looking up to.

What’s your favourite snack?

Pasta for breakfast, pasta for lunch, pasta for dinner, and pasta for snacks.

What is the biggest challenge you have overcome?

Secondary school has been my biggest challenge when I missed out on making solid friends due to the stigma of me being a dancer.

Where’s your ideal holiday destination?

Anywhere with my family.
