What are you most looking forward to as a Headliner of MOVE IT 2024?

I’m really looking forward to sharing my voice on the main stage and having the opportunity to connect with new people.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt in your career so far?

To never jeopardise your values or your sense of self for the industry.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? / Further career goals in the dance Industry?

I like to stay open to new possibilities therefore I have flexible planning. I want to create/share more of my work on many different platforms, bring my show “A Conversation with Alicia keys” to the West End/ Broadway, and eventually start my own company. My biggest goal is to choreograph for Alicia Keys

Do you have any advice for young aspiring dancers who want to get into the professional dance world?

Enjoy the journey, don’t rush the process because you’ll soon realise there is no destination.

What does dancing mean to you?

Dance is medicine
Dance is expression
Dance is art.

Are there any influences on your style of dance?

Diana Matos has had a huge influence on my movement through her sheer determination to push her body to its limits, to outgrow herself and step into her fullest potential. Having a strong contemporary background has also impacted how I move/ create.

What do you think is the biggest challenge that you face as a dancer?

Trying to fit the mould.

What do you think are the most important qualities for success in the dance industry?

Individuality, honesty, accountability & passion.

To expect the unexpected 🙂
