Patience J collective was founded in 2020 in London by creative director, choreographer and all round performing artist Patience James. The collective has brought together some of the best movers in the afro dance scene to create a group of dynamic and high energy performers with a special ability to uplift and entertain an audience. Led by Patience J, the collective draws inspiration from a number of dance disciplines including contemporary, commercial, modern and traditional afro art forms to create innovative and dynamic performance pieces that will both excite and shock you.

At the head is Patience J, who is an accomplished dancer with over 10 years of experience in industry. She has performed at some of the most prestigious platforms including X factor, Wembley Arena, Indigo O2, and Hammersmith Apollo, and worked on choreography, movement direction for brands such as Nike and Adidas. She is also founder and director of the hugely successful Afroinheels dance company which runs regular weekly community dance classes.
