Nat Sweeney FACE OF MOVE IT 2020

What does dance mean to you?

Dance means everything to me. I love to do it and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

What style of dance do you specialise in and why?

I specialise in ballet, as I feel it’s important for all dancers but I also enjoy contemporary and jazz.

Who has been your biggest inspiration in life?

Nicki Minaj has always been a big inspiration to me, purely based on the fact that she never gave up and even though she was different she made it. Dance wise I look up to Autumn Miller as she is just incredible.

What quote do you live by and why?

‘Good Vibes Only’ is the quote that I live by as everything you do in life should have a good vibe otherwise what’s the point.

Describe yourself in 1 word?

What has been your biggest achievement so far in your career?

My biggest achievement has been playing the lead role of Billy in the west end musical, Billy Elliot. A huge opportunity I will never forget.

What exciting opportunities do you have coming up in 2019/2020?

I always find myself doing something exciting, just keep an eye out!

What does MOVE IT mean to you?

MOVE IT to me, means that I can meet so many amazing dancers and others in the dance community, it’s an event where we can share our love, talent and passion for dance.

As MOVE IT is celebrating their 15th birthday, what did you do for your 15th birthday?

Just hung out with family and friends.

What is your go – to party trick?

My go to party trick is to jump into splits, no matter how many times I do it, it still shocks everyone.

What is the 15th most used emoji on your phone?

What is your favourite part of birthday parties?

Food & Presents!

What song at a birthday party gets you dancing?

Lose My Breath – Destiny’s Child

Where do you see yourself in 15 years?

In 15 years I see myself living my best life in LA, hopefully being a dancer.

MOVE IT 2020 Postponed

It is with great regret that Upper Street Events has today decided that, as a result of the evolving Covid-19 situation, it is no longer possible for us to hold MOVE IT 2020 this weekend.

We have been following UK Government guidelines and working with the rolling advice from Public Health England and other organisations, but it is now with much sadness that we have taken the decision to postpone the event.  The safety and wellbeing of our staff, exhibitors, visitors, partners and contractors is of the utmost importance to us, and therefore feel the protection and prevention of harm to all involved is vital to this decision.

We love MOVE IT and we love this community and we’ve been carefully listening to the feedback we’ve been receiving from visitors, exhibitors and participants.  Until this morning the community has been overwhelmingly in support of the event continuing as planned.   Since the announcement by the World Health Organisation on the evening of 11th March, which has labelled Covid-19 a pandemic, that sentiment has understandably changed.  We have a duty to safeguard everyone who plays a part in making Move It happen and, as such, we have reached this difficult decision.

We are currently working with ExCel to look at options to reschedule MOVE IT to a later date.  Tickets will be valid for a rescheduled event.  If you are unable to make the new date, a refund will be issued.  We will be in touch over the next week to update you on the situation.

We are sincerely sorry that we have had to make this incredibly difficult decision and thank you for bearing with us at this uncertain time.
