Dance Teachers Careers Day

Friday 12 March 2010

11.00-12.30 – Presentation in the Olympia Room
 13.00-17.00 – Individual mentoring sessions

NB - The Careers Day at MOVE IT is FREE to attend. However, you must purchase an entry ticket to enter MOVE IT.

Dance teaching in the UK is a changing profession. The qualifications and professional awards required to teach in some areas are changing too. The Dance Teachers Careers Day at this year's MOVE IT 2010 will help you get the inside track on the new developments taking place throughout Europe and how to choose the right qualifications for your future.

The Careers Day starts at 11.00 and will include an introduction from the Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET), a keynote speaker, contributions from awarding bodies BBO, BTDA, ISTD and RAD and networking opportunities. From 13.00 onwards you will also have the opportunity to receive FREE one-to-one advice from any of the awarding bodies through individual mentoring sessions. These must be pre-booked by email - see booking details below.

So, whether you are an experienced teacher of many years, a newly qualified teacher, a current student teacher or even if you are just finding out if dance teaching is right for you, this is an event not to be missed.

We recommed that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the Careers Day as seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
