DANCE CLASSES

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a beginner looking to try dance for the first time, at MOVE IT there is something for everyone. Classes are available in a range of levels; beginner, open, intermediate, advanced and professional (see more detailed info below). MOVE IT classes will be large with a fun atmosphere - come dressed to move!

The box office for dance classes has now closed. Class tickets can be purchased on the day from the Dance Class Ticket Desk which is located on the right hand side when you enter the main show hall.

Dance Class Prices:
Dance Classes - £4.50 on the day
Masterclasses - £9.00 on the day
Improve It Classes - £9.00 on the day
Please note - you must have a valid entry ticket to attend any dance class.
SOLD OUT classes - limited tickets will be available to purchase on a first come, first served basis on the day from the Dance Class ticket desk. This excludes masterclasses where no additional tickets will be available.

Harlequin Professional Masterclasses
Taking place in the Harlequin Masterclass Studio and specially designed for professional dancers and teachers, the Harlequin Masterclass Programme offers a range of one off classes with some of the UK’s premiere dance companies and practioners. Improve your technique, learn new skills and meet some of the top figures in dance. Sponsored by Harlequin

NEW! IMPROVE IT CLASSES
The IMPROVE IT series offers dancers the chance to take part in an extended class, allowing them focus in more detail and to really improve in a particular style or area of dance whilst at MOVE IT. Ideal for dancers looking for a more in depth experience.

NEW! ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS CLASSES
The ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS series is for anyone who’s always wanted to learn to dance but not had the confidence. This is the perfect opportunity to try out a range of styles in a relaxed and informal and friendly environment, with a group of like-minded people who just want to have fun.

NEW! PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES
Responding to demand, this year’s MOVE IT programme has expanded to include a number of workshops encompassing the wider Performing Arts. Ideal for performers looking for an edge.

Dance Ability Levels
* Open – open to all abilities
* Beginner – aimed at people with little or no experience
* Intermediate – For dancers with some experience. Please see expanded class descriptions to ensure the class is right for you.
* Advanced – Fast paced and challenging classes for dancers with experience
* Professional Masterclass – For professional level dancers, particularly dancers who have completed their vocational training.

Please note - The management reserves the right to alter or vary the content, timing or teacher of any class/performance/seminar due to circumstances beyond their control.

Please note that all participants taking part in the dance classes do so at their own risk. It is the individual participant’s responsibility to wear appropriate footwear, dress suitably and inform the class teacher of any relevant health issues or injuries before the class commences.
