Performances

Watch spectacular shows from some of most exciting artists and dance companies from the UK and Europe. Over 1500 dance performers took to the stage at MOVE IT and presented a whole host of different dance acts.

FRIDAY 12 MARCH 2010

10.30- 11.00		MOVE IT Youth Showcase Featuring young dancers from all over the UK including Junior Latin Couple AJ Pritchard and Chloe Hewitt and top Juvenile couple Lloyd Perry and Rebecca Scott presented by EADA, young dancers from Tiffany Theatre College, Tap Attack Youth Company (the offical England Tap Team!) presented by Rosco, Momentum Dance, the Association of Dance & Freestyle Professionals and an exclusive performance showcasing the routine for the 2010 Big Dance Schools Pledge.
11.45- 12.15		Destination: Dance Inspired by dances from around the world including traditional Kathak dance from Shamaa Dance presented by Morley College, Bollywood from Bollywood Grooves, Spanish passion from Tiffany Theatre College, and Expressions Academy of Performing Arts
13.00- 13.30		MOVE IT Select A selection of performances showcasing the diversity of dance styles on offer at MOVE IT. Featuring dancesport from ISTD, Jazz from Tring Park School, funky street from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Contemporary Jazz from Creative Academy and historical dance from Nonsuch History and Dance.
14.15- 14.45		Ballet and Contemporary Showcase Experience the beauty of ballet and explore the some cutting edge contemporary dance with performances from Urdang Academy, Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, Masters Performing Arts and Bird College. Join Big Dance for a celebration of World Record breakers featuring Yat-Sen Chang of the English National Ballet!
15.30- 16.00		Showstoppers Join the next generation of stage stars for this celebration of West End choreography from sultry Jazz to high impact showstoppers. With ,Stella Mann College, Southern Theatre Arts at Northbrook College, Performers College, Masters Performing Arts, Mandy Ellen School of Performing Arts and SLP College.
16.45- 17.15		Break It Down High velocity Hip Hop and Streetdance rocks the Main Stage. Featuring Kompany Malakhi, Bird College with a piece by Tony Parrie. Streetdance International presents Definitives, TK Spin, and Cambridge Performing Arts - Bodywork Company.
18.00- 18.30		Dance Extra Mix it up with a range of performances in different styles from The Centre and NLDS Performing Arts College, winners of the World Streetdance Championships Futunity, Urban Dance Collective and Mandy Ellen School of Performing Arts and winners of BBC's Move it like Michael Jackson,,,,The Animaineaxs!

SATURDAY 13 MARCH 2010

10.30- 11.00		MOVE IT Select Start the day with a selection of performances in all different styles featuring Stella Mann College, Belly Dance from Fleur Estelle, Larondina Dance, and Urban Strides
11.45- 12.15		Ballet and Beyond From classical to contemporary and beyond, experience the very best in ballet from Tring Park School, Tiffany Theatre College, Ballet Central and Ballet Black.
13.00- 13.30		MOVE IT Pop Inspired by the hottest pop performers and music videos starring The Professionals, Southern Theatre Arts at Northbrook College, Bird College, Tiffany Theatre College with choreography by Christian Storm, when Nike D-Clash and Urdang Academy.
13.30- 13.35		SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCE A special guest performance from Britain's Got Talent stars Flawless!
14.15- 14.45		Ballroom & Latin Deluxe Be inspired by some of the UK's top ballroom dance and latin couples including dancers representing EADA, World Outgames Showdance Champions Guyz in Sync presented by Studio La Danza, Alex and Lisa Ivanets and a star turn from Matthew and Nicole Cutler! Both have appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, and Matthew won with Alesha Dixon in season 5! Join Big Dance for a celebration of World Record breakers featuring Salsa Oxford performers.
15.30- 16.00		Bollywood to Hollywood Performances inspired by the movies. Dance and Cheer 49 invite you to Bring It On, Apsara Arts celebrate the very best in Bollyowood, and Bird College. Also featuring Strike, Urdang Academy, Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, and SLP College.
16.30- 16.40		SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCE Bloch presents a solo from Royal Ballet Principal Sarah Lamb.
16.45- 17.15		Simply Contemporary Featuring a wide range of contemporary dance from The Centre Performing Arts College, Tring Park School, Nyron and Saori,Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and an extract from The Body in Dialogue from Movement Angol.
18.00- 18.30		Latin Quarter Latin dance style heat up the main stage with Tango, Flamenco, Salsa, Latin Jazz and more featuring Monika Molnar Latin Dance Academy, Element Dance, Salsa Cubana presented by Morley College, Illusion Flamenca and Cubana Danza.

SUNDAY 14 MARCH 2010

10.30- 11.00		MOVE IT Youth Showcase Featuring a diverse mix of styles performed by some of the UK's most promising young dancers including dancers representing ISTD, Pineapple Performing Arts, Urdang Academy, New London Arts Performance Centre presented by Tag'Em, Srishti Yuva Culture present Cycles, choreographed by Nina Rajararni and the Royal Ballet School's Junior Associates.
11.45- 12.15		Believe The Hype The hottest Hip Hop and Streetdancers leave you in no doubt. Featuring ZooYouth presented by Tag'Em, Urdang Academy's Stance, Momentum Dance, international streetdance sensation Blaze, and a new piece by one of the UK's top hip hop dance theatre company, ZooNation.
13.00- 13.30		MOVE IT Fashion Show Performed on the MOVE IT main stage and modeled by some of the best dancers and colleges in the UK, the MOVE IT Fashion show is a chance to see the latest dancewear lines in action. Featuring leading brands Mondor present Performers College, Bloch Europe present Urdang Academy, IDS Grishko UK present Tring Park, Anita Moore Designs, Axznt present Status, Wild and Lawless present Tiffany Theatre College, Sansha present Arts Educational Schools, Dancemannequinn and Capezio presents Bird College.
14.15- 14..45		Curtain Up Inspired by the West End, this showcase brings you a mix of classic and contemporary show numbers and dazzling Jazz routines. Starring The Centre Performing Arts College, Stella Mann College, Leicester College of Performing Arts, Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, Performers College and Bird College. Also join Big Dance for a celebration of World Record Breakers featuring Tap Attack, sponsored by Rosco.
15.15- 15.45		Get On Stage Competition Showcase Dancers from all over the UK were invited to submit their videos for a chance to perform in front of the MOVE IT crowds, and the finalists will perform live along with some sensational guest stars. Catch the dance stars of tomorrow. Sponsored by Capezio.
16.15- 16.45		MOVE IT Select Showcasing an exciting and surprising mix of dance styles from Capoeira from Cordao De Ouro, Belly-Bollywood from Fleur Estelle, Broadway Tap from Tiffany Theatre College, Urban Strides, and Classical Jazz and voice combine in an exciting performance by SLP College.
