In my experience: making dance a business
SEMINAR Amanda Hughes of Dance Beat Limited shares how she was able to take her teaching skills from beyond the studio and use her knowledge of dance to run a successful dancing business. Amanda is a Fellow and Examiner with the ISTD, and as well as running a very busy dance school she also does work for various community projects, including special needs, over 50`s and pre-school classes. She has been an ISTD committee member for nine years, her work involving lectures and syllabus creation. Amanda founded new company DISCO DUCK in 2009, which targets the pre-school market, and is now licensing the business to dance schools around the country. Disco Duck.

Fresh, cool and packed with attitude this style is straight from the US. Taught by the fantastic Tomas Simon. Tomas has worked across the industry including with Whitney Houston, Alexandra Burke, The Saturdays, Mariah Carey, Peter Andre and Cheryl Cole and has just finished being a featured dancer in the new Sony Playstation game 'DanceStar Party'. This class is open level, ideal for dancers looking for a fun class that focuses on musicality and incorporates lots of Urban styles. Ballet suitable for dancers with some knowledge of Ballet, a great class to focus on your performance skills and Ballet technique. SEMINAR Discover how to accredit existing dance programmes and the benefits this can bring. This session will focus on how Arts Award can be used for accreditation. * Open – open to all abilities
* Absolute Beginner - aimed at people with no experience
* Beginner – aimed at people with no experience
* Intermediate – For dancers with some experience. Please see expanded class descriptions to ensure the class is right for you.
* Advanced – Fast paced and challenging classes for dancers with experience. Confident picking up terminology and learning a routine at a fast pace.
* Masterclasses – For advanced and professional level dancers, particularly for dancers who are about to or have completed their vocational training.
