The Royal Academy of Dance promotes knowledge, understanding and practice of dance internationally. With over 13,000 members in 79 countries, it is one of the most influential dance education and training organisations in the world. Each year, the examination syllabus is taught to more than a quarter of a million students worldwide.

The Academy’s Faculty of Education offers teacher training and dance education programmes to over 1,000 full-time or part-time students. Through courses, classes, workshops and competitions, the RAD shapes children and young people’s learning and appreciation of dance, helping them to achieve their personal goals and rewarding their achievements.
