DanceLAB was a brand new feature at MOVE IT 2017, designed to support the development of emerging choreographers and professional dancers wanting to get into choreography. A day of intensive workshops with exclusive access to 2 of the U.K.’s most exciting choreographers. Limited to 25 lucky participants, DanceLAB is an inspirational insight into their choreographic techniques and creative process.


DanceLAB highlights:

Kerry Nicholls has taught, choreographed, mentored and performed extensively for numerous dance companies and institutions throughout Europe and worldwide, and her experience spans a diverse dance practice spectrum.

Regularly teaching for top UK dance companies including Company Wayne McGregor, DV8 and Michael Clark Company, Kerry is widely regarded as one of Britain’s leading contemporary technique teachers. Kerry teaches internationally at Ballet National de Marseille (France), Escuela de Danza (Cuba), Beijing Dance Academy (China) and is annual guest artist at the Juilliard School (USA).


A sought-after and experienced choreographer in her own right, Kerry is also a regular choreographic mentor for the Royal Opera House, English National Ballet, One Dance UK and Rambert.

Suzette has travelled the globe dancing for stars such as Rihanna, Rita Ora, Usher, Fergie, Robin Thicke, Lil Wayne, Major Lazer, Jessie J and more. Her experience ranges from performing in the Michael Jackson West End Musical ‘Thriller Live’, judging on the Alesha Dixon BBC TV series ‘Alesha’s Street Dance Stars’, dancing in films such as ‘Street Dance 3D’ and for commercial brand names Adidas, Nike, O2 & Coca Cola.



Suzette is one of the UK’s leading Choreographer/ Artistic Director working on commercials such as ‘Rimmel starring Cara Delevingne’ and the high impact 2016 House of Fraser Christmas ad set around the dinner table. She’s choreographed performances such as Little Mix ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ on X Factor, major world tours for Lily Allen & Major Lazer, stage shows for Dua Lipa, Sean Paul, M.I.A & Jay Z and music videos for Diplo, Jeremiah, DJ Fresh, Craig David, Skepta & many more.
