The GET ON STAGE dance competition is your opportunity to show off your dancing talent and have the chance to perform in front of a crowd of up to 5,000 at MOVE IT 2012. The competition is open to all ages and dance styles, so come and show the dance world what you've got!
Entering ‘GET ON STAGE’ is simple:
1. Film your video and upload to YouTube/similar video site. (Important - please read guidelines and tips below)
2. Complete the competition Entry Form - it's free to enter!
3. Get your friends and family to vote for you!

How is it judged?
Anyone can vote for an act. All videos will be on the MOVE IT website so that you can get your fans, friends and family to vote for you. Voting closes on 29 February 2012 and from this a shortlist will be taken. A winner will be chosen based on the amount of votes received and the quality of the performance by a judging panel. The sooner you enter the more chance you have for people to vote for you!
The prize
The winner act will perform at MOVE IT on the Main Stage in front of an audience of 5,000 people on Sunday 11 March at 15.00.
Video Guidelines
Please note that by submitting your work to MOVE IT you agree to the following terms and conditions, which will take effect immediately on submission of your contribution. Make sure you've read them before you submit your clip. If you do not agree to these terms please do not access or use this facility.
- Clips must be a short continuous performance. Please note edited showreels will not be accepted.
- Acts must be available to perform on Sunday 11 March at 15:00 at MOVE IT 2012. (Groups are limited to 30 people maximum. The performance on the 11 March must be no more than 2 minutes.)
- All entries are voted for by the general public via the MOVE IT website. The shortlist will then be considered by a panel and the winning act will be chosen based on number of votes and the quality of the performance.
- If you're under 16: Please get a parent's or guardian's permission before submitting any work.
- The video is not defamatory or obscene.
